Love Stinks!
I'm not usually a fan of pink but when Lauri from Crows Toes sent me this one, I decided to change my mind....just the once. The blue shimmer in this is amazing and so strong. My pictures do NOT capture the blue flash a third of what it is really like in the flesh. I decided to layer one coat of Love Stinks over a matching colored base (For you Aussie chicks, it is the un named Lilac in the Chi Chi pastels collection at Target)
Nice hey?
This can be purchased at Llarowe and Overall Beauty.

Crows Toes ASTEROPE
Again, I sing an Ode to Crows Toes. I know, I know.....but this Indie brand is ridiculously fab for the money. The glitters are opaque in one coat and the multichromes are insanely rainbow-y flash-y.
This is Asterope over a coat of Chocolate Brown. I did try it on it's own, but I prefer this over a darker color. Finished with Seche QD.
Llarowe is still stocking Asterope in her online store.

Great Gatsby Shopping Made Easy
Full of glitz, glamour, ornate details, and a true style all its own - what Vintage girl wouldn't want "The Great Gatsby" look? Whether you are looking to enjoy a casual Gatsby themed garden party or don your most glamorous look at a fabulous cocktail evening, there are plenty of ways with ModCloth to add a flapper-esque flair to any look this spring/summer.
- Details, details, details. Epaulets, pearls, rhinestones, and sequins were
highly used during this time period to add glitz to an evening outfit.
- Slender silhouettes. While you could still see a full skirt, long hemline, and high neck, the robe de style dress featuring a drop waist and straight cut was the most popular style.
- Haute headpieces. To top off the entire look, add a whimsical & decadent headpiece from ModCloth. You can even DIY a fabulous headband with ribbon, feathers, and gemstones!

flapper-esque look, you can visit the ModStylists here: ModCloth

Melbourne Love Vintage Show
The Love Vintage Show was on in Melbourne over the weekend and of course, we all went along.
I caught up with Sarah and Helga again before they drove/flew home to Canberra and New Zealand.
And again, it degenerated into some of this....
.....and a bit of this. Bullet bras ahoy!
See you next year chookies!
What I wouldn't give to fit into that little red number on the mannequin!
I wanted the amber necklace but The Sexiest Man wouldn't shell out $2,950.00 for it.
Trying on hats and being photobombed by Miss 11.
A couple I snuck a photo of. You very rarely see someone dress in this period.
The morning Fashion Parade with outfits from the 30's thru to 60's.
The kids soon grew bored and looked like this.
And The Lindy Charm School were on hand for vintage hairstyles and makeovers. I stocked up on a fresh bottle of their 'Rocket Fuel' which is the BEST on the market for holding curls.
Thank you to those who came up and said hello, introduced themselves and said they liked reading my blog. If you saw me there but didn't say hello....make sure you do next time!

The Red Hair Rollout!
Here I am!
The hair I would actually call Copper. It took a week, 2 bleachings, about 6 shades and 1 toner before I came out looking like this and I have to say....I think I love it. The ends are still a slightly darker color than the top, but I think I quite like that effect, and I even got a blonde highlight on one side from when I had my blonde streak there.
I debuted it at the Melbourne Love Vintage Show on Saturday and had a few confused looks before people recognised me!
I matched my hair and the Autumn chilly weather up with some warm outfit colors.
I even matched my nails to my skirt! Orly Glitz and a-England Camelot half moons.
What do you guys think?
