I got my new set of Bundle Monster plates in the mail yesterday. Altho I am super busy once again making heaps of beads for my next show, I sat up late and did my nails. Inspired by ALU's untried posting, I pulled out a holographic I hadn't used before; Sally Hansen Nail Prisms in Diamond.
It's incredibly sheer and this was 2 coats. Pictures under artificial light. Not a true linear holo as it's dries slightly scattered, but it is still very pretty as is.
I then Konaded it with Warm Black using 2 patterns from the BM plates and added 1 coat of Seche QD. It's fantastic that BM listened and made these new plates bigger..no more horrible double stamping! Thanks Bundle Monster!

Catrice The Devil Wears Red
I've featured this color before but it's one of my fav's and felt you all should look at it again! This was 2 coats of The Devil Wears Red by Catrice and I Konaded it with China Glaze L8R G8R. It was wonderfully rainbow-y and sparkly and I was happy.

Orly Peachy Parrot - Birds Of A Feather Collection
Orly kindly sent me a bottle from their new Birds Of A Feather collection to swatch. This is 2 coats of Peachy Parrot, which is described as a Coral Shimmer. To me it's more Apricot than Coral, and the shimmer is bordering on frosty. It's not a color for my skin tone but lookee at Fowl Play and Sweet Peacock! Those are 2 this little birdie is going to get.
Artificial light.
Natural light, no flash.
This collection is available in June with a RRP of $18.95 AUD. 18ml in size and available from http://www.orlybeauty.com.au/.
Which colors are on your wishlist?

Ozotic Pro Elytra Collection
Ozotic Pro, those people that have brought us the coolest multichromes ever, have released a new collection called Elytra. They were released last week and I finally got to have a play last night.
All swatches are over 1 coat of a generic black and 2 coats of the Elytra.
#528
This one is my fav. It changes from predominantly blue to green to pink to gold. It's absolutely gorgeous and so much nicer IRL.
#530
Fuschia to gold to purple to green.
#529
Green to purple to blue to pink.
The Elytra ideally needs as many thin coats as you can give them, the more coats the better the color shift. Seche QD also has a serious shrinkage problem with these polishes, just a tip if that's your regular top coat!
I purchased these online from australianbeautysupplies for $8.50 each. This is, I understand, almost half the price of what other online retailers sell them for.
For much clearer pics please see Jacie's post here.

Freddies Of Pinewood
Finding Vintage style jeans in Australia just does not happen. No Pinup online stores stock them and finding authentic Vintage ones from the 40's is also impossible. I stumbled across Freddies Of Pinewood when cruising another Vintage site and almost cried....proper 40's jeans...in MY size!!
So, of course I bought up...big. I did need them after all. Freddies also reproduce 50's tops from original patterns so I bought some of those too. I NEEDED them as well! And if Anne Hathaway has publicly said that she can't live without Freddies Of Pinewood jeans, then I can't either.
After convincing myself that my 4'11" frame wouldn't look *too* OompaLoompa-ish if I wore dungarees, I bought some. Am I kidding myself?? Miss almost 10 said I looked cute which is HUGE, she normally disapproves of my 'old lady' clothes.
Of course I wore them with red, Victory Rolls, lots of flowers, jingling bakelite bangles and red lipstick.
I couldn't decide if they looked better with the cuffs rolled up or down....any opinions...please?
Front bib detail. They even include a gorgeous gingham hanky for the front pocket! The dungarees are EXTREMELY comfortable. They are also very fitted, with zip and button at the hips to give you maximum curve detail and the crossover straps at the back make your bottom look quite juicy. That's according to the husband anyway.
Be prepared to get LOTS of comments...I've worn these twice this week and both times was stopped repeatedly!
My order was to be shipped in 3 parcels as it was quite heavy and shipping was 75 GBP. Freddies felt sorry for me for having to pay so much shipping that he gave me another 20% off my order. I was completely stoked, forever grateful and immediately became a loyal customer. It was a random nice thing to do and I felt very thankful. Hopefully this post pays back a little of Freddies kindness and makes my Vintage buddies run out and stock up just like I did!
Dungarees: Baby Doll by Freddies Of Pinewood
Red Cardi: Living Dead Souls
Accessories: 40's lucite Lobster pin, hair flowers & Bakelite bangles all from eBay
Lippie: MAC Ruby Woo
I'm heading back there soon to pick up these. Yummo.
Make sure you all check out the sale section...CHEAP.

ChG Flying Dragon
I've featured this polish a couple of times before but it's just so dang purty that here tis again. A royal purple with a slash of Fuschia and blue and red glitter, yummo. It dries to a semi matte finish which I feel doesn't show it's true potential as a color, I much prefer it with a topcoat.
I Konaded it with ChG Millenium and added 1 coat of Seche QD. I used plates from Shirley, and again these didn't stamp so well. As you can see the definition is not fuzzy and it's missing in some spots. That's all I'm gonna say about these plates....you guys can make up your own mind.

High Maintenance
China Glaze High Maintenance is a gorgeous deep red that stays true to it's bottle color once dried and is perfect in 2 thin coats. I reach for it often when I'm in a vampy mood. It also dries to a high gloss which is just lovely.
I stamped it with White Konad and added some red glitter in the middle of the flowers. One coat of Seche QD to finish it all.

2 New Kit Nail Polish Release.....& FREE Polish!
Last week Kit Cosmetics had two nail polish launches that are sure to get everyone buzzing.
Firstly, in celebration of the upcoming royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, Kit have released a limited edition range of three regal and refined shades under the banner name of “Her Royal Nailness”. The shades – Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, and Emerald Green – are all influenced by coloured stones and of course, royal engagement rings. This range is definitely destined for grandeur!
This was 2 coats of Ruby Red and you can clearly see the shimmer. Formula was nice on this one, being opaque in 2 thin coats. I don't know about the ring tho.....Miss 2 was certainly happy to be wearing it!
Secondly – but by all means not to be overshadowed – is the second collaboration that Kit has done with Shop Til You Drop magazine, an exclusive polish called Shop Loves Sunset. Associate Editor Amy Starr says, “The inspiration behind this year’s Shop signature polish is the fleeting nature of colour in a state of in-between. It’s the shade you see when the orange juice meets grenadine in an icy-cool Tequila Sunrise, or the colour of the sky as the sun begins to descend upon the horizon.” All Shop Til You Drop readers can get their hands on this pretty polish for FREE when the May issue hits stands this coming Monday. All they need to do is fill in their details on page 204 of the magazine, bring it in to any Kit store and a bottle of Shop Loves Sunset is theirs.
My swatches are 3 coats which was still patchy. My nails were thick and clumpy after 3 coats and I was certinaly not going to do a fourth. I then Konaded it with Warm Black to match the bottle colors, and 1 coat of Seche QD.
RRP: $15.95 AUD
Where to purchase: www.kitcosmetics.com.au and they ship Internationally.
Don't forget to go buy your copy of Shop Till You Drop this Monday for your free nail polish!
