Eyeko Vampira & Gosh Holographic

I caved and ordered some UK branded polishes and they arrived today! My darling child slept for 2 hours this afternoon so instead of making jewellery or cleaning the house, I put on The Birds DVD (man that movie has got to be one of the freakiest ever made) and I painted my nails...twice!! And my toenails in a delightful glittery Mad as a Hatter...don't worry, I don't show pics of my feet.

First up is Gosh Holographic 549 and as you can see it's holographic wonderfulness. Much more magnificent under artifical light (first pic) rather than natural (second pic, this is witha flash), but unlike China Glaze OMG you can still see the holo in shade (third pic, no flash). It needed a full 3 coats before the patching was under control and concealed, 4 coats to make it even. No topcoat as I didn't want to risk losing any rainbow.

This is 2 coats of Vampira by Eyeko, a black base with lots of tiny red glitter. If you are careful, you can get away with one carefully applied thicker coat, mine barely needed 2. Not much of a difference between this and China Glaze Lubu heels, I think Vampira glitter is denser if I had to pick out something.

I am too busy staring at my rainbow nails for another few hours before adding Konad...this will come tomorrow!

  6. beautyandthebeast, sorry you didnt like it much but I thought you got good colors out of it judging from your pics. 5 GBP was cheap compared to what I paid on ebay for mine!
