For me it was black polish. I adore black nails and still do. What I don't like is the chipped rocker look, but rather sleek black nails. And what rocks is MATTE black nails.
And it doesn't come any blacker or matter than Orly's Black Vinyl.

That is an awesome black! Love it. I think what started my obsession has to be chromes and crackles. lol Been a downward spiral since my first crackle.

ReplyDeleteNow 31 Im using more colors of nailpolish. But I cant make myself to wear neons or pastels, I keep it with wine,burgandy vampy colors and dark raspberry and of course black and dark blue or navy blue.
This looks absolutely amazing! For me, it is a way to stop me biting my nails (won't touch em if they look pretty) and I just kept buying more and more! And then I took it way too far, started on blogs and nail art, and maybe need to rein it back a bit!!

ReplyDeleteI agree completely!! I LOVE glossy neatly manicured, mid-short black nails. I think it's one of the most classy looks ever, along with a reverse French (black on tips instead of white).

ReplyDeleteI got starting on my nail polish obsession due to needing to hide the damage a fake set of acrylics (applied under extreme duress) had done to my nails. It's 99.9% grown out now... but I can't seem to stop buying polish... WEE!

I need to give more love to my matte polishes! Black polish started my obsession... as did dark blue! And then it's snowballed like crazy from there!
ReplyDeleteOh my god...I NEED this in my life! Aaaaah for me it was a childhood spent ogling all of my mumma's beautiful Revlon polish's...only allowed to LOOK not touch! Until of course the day finally came when she passed on the beautiful bottles to moi :D and the rest was history! :D now a bonified polish-aholic!
