I found all this in one hit from an Op shop last week. Tea, cup and saucer sets were $5 each with the Chintz cake plate for $2.
She was right.
The husband came home with 3 sets of skis he found on the side of the road on hard rubbish collection day. I just have to get motivated and sell them on ebay....anybody know anything about ski's??

A Retro pop up Charity shop 'popped' up in town on Sunday and I got this leopard lined and collared 60's coat for $15. The amount of vintage coats in there was staggering, if I had a vintage shop I could have stocked it full of fur collared beauties. Unfortunately, none of them fit me. Neither did the perfect 40's suit jacket ($30) or 30's velvet opera coat ($35). And another woman was taunting me by walking around with 2 50's garden floral dresses draped over her shoulder with $10 tags on them. Grrrrrr.

Nothing fab like you, but I did get some tupperware cups for the kids at 10cents each. But my good will was fairly picked over this week :(

DeleteThose rose cups are really pretty! I've been trying to find nice tea cups with saucers but haven't yet. I thrifted some DIY supplies, a cool china style jacket and some baby clothes :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always handy when you get given lots of pretty teacups! My main outlet for finding cheap china are the thrift stores and a few at swap meets.
DeleteI've said it before, but I'll say it again, you have the most amazing thrifting luck! Every time I see your awesome finds, I'm tempted to hop a plain and speed half way around the world to see what kind of vintage treasures I could unearth in Australia, too.
