The rest of the Models Own that I ordered. I got all the Beetlejuices minus Pinky Brown which was sold out, and after seeing online swatches I don't think I'll be ordering it.
Two coats on it's own in artificial light.
On it's own in natural shaded light. You can see the slight duochrome shift in natural light, but it's not a huge one and a bit boring actually.
One coat over one coat of black. The color shift shows a bit better once it's over the black. But....still a little boring.
And under artificial light.
Two coats of Purple Blue in natural shaded light. I think this may be my favourite, but I am still loving Emerald Black too. It's pigmented in color, opaque in 2 coats and has an obvious color shift that didn't need 60 pictures to try and capture.
And under artificial light. Difference in color is huge in different lights!
So, my take on this collection is that it's all a little been done a hundred times before. Models Own really did take FANTASTIC bottle shots in their promo pictures and got us all super hyped up. In reality they are a little ho hum......but that's just my opinion.

Models Own Golden Green vs Chemistry 519
So we have all seen different versions of Golden Green lately, so it's nothing new. I've included pictures of both Golden Green and Aussie brand Chemistry 519 for comparison purposes.
2 coats of Golden Green over one coat of black. I much prefer this over black as I feel it's a bit wishy-washy on it's own.
And Chemistry 519 also over black. Pretty much the same, I prefer the Chemistry for it's very slight darker appearance. If anyone Aussies already have the Chemistry I wouldn't bother with the Models Own.

Models Own Emerald Black
I think I started with my favourite of the Beetlejuice bunch...or maybe it's Purple Blue...not sure yet.
Just look at it. It's too sublime. It is also very pigmented so it was perfect in 2 coats.
So, what's your fav from the Beetlejuice's?

Models Own Magenta Pearl
Yes, I have the Beetlejuice colors but am not hurrying to show them as 20 million people have already done so. What I am hurrying to show is this gorgeous color I previously have not seen swatched before: Magenta Pearl.
It's quite sheer and needed at least coats to build up so I decided to try it first over black. Isn't is gorgeous? Pics above taken in sull sunlight.
Taken under artificial light.
Who else has purchased Magenta Pearl?

Nfu 51 & Flying Dragon
I'm still layering my 51 over several different colors to get varying effects! If I'm not careful this bottle is going to be gone!
Lots and lots of pictures cause this color combo was tricky to capture.
Yum yum bubblegum.
The flakies stayed Fuschia and Red over this color, I couldn't get a green/yellow shift no matter what light I tried it in. It's still beautiful as is and looks much nicer in real life.
And China Glaze Flying Dragon by itself.
What shall I try 51 over next?

Lippmann Red Ruby Slippers
This was a HUGE Lemming for me and I revelled in it a couple of times before several dupes came onto the market and ruined all the glamour!
This was 2 coats and pics taken in full natural sunlight. The wear on this one was not as good as Across The Universe. As you can see I developed tip wear almost immediately. Still gorgeous and still worthy to pull out, slap on and make myself feel pretty special every once in a while.

Lippmann Across The Universe
Here is one of the most gorgeous polishes on the market.
Across The Universe, 3 coats. Above photos in natural light. Below photo is artifical light.
It was on for a few days, it was just too nice to remove. And the wear was excellent.
Just wonderful.

BYS Shadow Puppets
Grey. It's just so sad and sorry looking on me.
This was 3 coats of BYS Shadow Puppets, a pale grey jelly. It required 3 coats to become opaque but it dried to a high shine.
Altho....the mongrel didn't dry. Even after a coat of Seche QD.
I gave up trying to stamp over this annoying non drying polish after 3 attempts of the stamping just sliding off my nails....so you only get a glimpse of what the manicure WOULD have looked like!

Novelty Skirts
I have a serious obsession with 50's novelty printed skirts. I get heart palpitations when I see a gorgeous one for sale and if it's not my size, I get a pain in the guts from disappointment. Do you know how many FANTABULOUS novelty clothing items there are for sale with a size 24" waist??!
Here is my vintage 'collection' as it stands at the moment!
Gorgeous Flamenco dancers in cartoon form
Chinese Pagodas. I love this one and it makes me feel I am wearing a painting when it's on.
Spanish Flamenco dancers
Jars from a pantry with big pink bows
A Carnival Fair scene!
Gorgeous Forest woodland scene
This one looks better on, a patchwork of 50's fabrics.
LURV this racing car scene. It's just so Speed Racer!
Firemen! Note the wagon wheel style fire carriages!
The seaside......this just makes me sigh in all it's gloriousness.
Magazines from the 50's! Life, Readers Digest, Time...... This is seriously groovy.
And I have a few novelty items that are reproduction and they are:
Bernie Dexter's Landscape dress.
Snack Attack by Folter.
Bernie Dexter's Landscape dress with Blossom trees.
An Artscapes skirt with a Venetian Cafe scene.
Hope you all enjoyed my novelty skirts as much as I do. Anyone else have some gorgeous ones? And more to the point....who has one I can buy?!

OPI Red My Fortune Cookie
These were done for my recent Bead Expo. Two coats of OPI Fortune Cookie and it lasted for 3 days without chipping or even developing the tiniest hint of tip wear, before I removed it. Magic stuff.
Stamped with Warm Black Konad and finished with a coat of Seche QD.
And Red Fortune Cookie on it's own. My favourite Vintage Red.
