I'm a little stuck on my flakies at the moment. It's nice to go thru the drawers and pull out a line you haven't used for awhile, then wear it to death and put them away again for another few months!
This is 1 coat of MAC Spirit of Truth. It's a gloriously yummy Navy blue creme which is good to go after just one coat. You may notice it's a little bumpy on me, this is my rough as a nail file basecoat coming thru and not the polish.
With a coat of Nfu-Oh 52. Super yummy and wonderful as it is. But again, I just kept on going.....
So I matte-ified it! It looks the bestest now and I was happy for 2 days.
Flakies LUV a matte topcoat. It intensifies them and makes them almost fluro in appearance.
Have fun honeybuns!

BYS Fern & Nfu 56
From Australian brand BYS, this is 2 coats of Fern, a dark Forest Green with silver shimmer.
Artificial light
Natural sunlight.
Because I can never leave anything alone, I added a coat of Nfu-Oh 56.
And then matte-ified it with China Glaze Matte About You.
Then I left it alone.

Green
Just a few greens to finish or start off the day:
Kleancolor Jazz Olive. 2 coats.
OPI Jade is the new Black, 2 coats.
Models Own Green Peacock. 2 coats. The gorgeous bottle color does not translate onto the nail...at all.
BB Couture Cleopatra, 2 coats. Almost similar to Models Own above, no?
More green tomorrow!

MAC Vintage Vamp
What do you do when you have a major chop down of your nails?
Wear a deliciously gorgeous Vamp polish and think your nails look mah-vellous darling!
This was 3 coats of Vintage Vamp and it wore really well for 3 days. Some say MAC chips quite easily, and while I think that some of their colors certainly do, this one didn't! Finished with a coat of Seche QD (which caused shrinkage so I recommend using a different top coat).
Off to make some beads!

My Week in Pictures
It's been school holidays the last 2 weeks and I am pleased to say they are all back at school today!! Yay!!
It's hard to keep little people occupied but we managed to fit in a little fun when The Sexiest Man On The Planet took a couple of days off work and we went adventuring into Melbourne.
First, the Melbourne Zoo.
We saw a baby elephant! Awwwwwwww.
And I kissed a tiger.......almost.
The lions were doing what males do best. Wish I could do that in public sometimes.
Butterflies landed on our heads.
Then we headed off to The Royal Melbourne Show where Miss 3 met her idols:
Abby Cadabby (pictured) and Angelina Balerina. She was way too shy to look at them tho!
Saw some spectacular floral arrangements.
And petted some chickies.
Then I had a Mermaid party for Miss 3 and made my very first party cake! Don't laugh, I thought I was very clever!
Please notice I balanced out the copious amounts of fat, salt and sugar with a big plate of fruit!
Who has been doing what this last week??

Cheetah Nails
Yeah, I've done these a couple of times before but who gets sick of awesome Cheetah nails?? Not me!
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze Refresh-Mint. Patchy at 2 coats but I was going to cover most of it so it didn't matter.
Then stamped with Konad Warm Black and added dots of Color Club Almost Famous, ChG DV8 and an Orly whose color I do not know as the bottom tag has fallen off! Finished with a coat of Seche QD.
Cool bananas!

The Funeral Dress
Unfortunately, one of our dear friends suffered a massive heartattack last week and very sadly passed away. His funeral was Monday.
These days, it seems I am Funeral 'old school' by thinking you should show the proper respect by not only dressing up in your best, but also to wear black.
This is my nicest funeral dress...is it a little morbid to show pictures??
Miss 3 loves these photo shoots and it's very hard to get her out of the shots!
I brightened it up a little by adding red accessories.
This was the first time I got my hair to behave into a passable little knot roll thingo at the back.
I love my carved Bakelite.
And my cherries necklace.
Dress: 1950's vintage with eyelet design from eBay
Hair Flowers: Dynamite-Darlin, eBay
Necklace: bead-licious
Shoes: Irregular Choice
Lipstick: MAC Russian Red
Various Bakelite sourced from Etsy and eBay
Miss 3's outfit: Mim-Pi
