Our Week

I discovered salt and vinegar potato slinkies.  Oh my goodness....anyone else had these?

Miss 10 is a fantastic photobomber.

We saw freaky clowns.

I was groped at the Big Banana.

Miss 10 and friend went water Zorbing.

Bunches of bananas.

Petted baby cows. Awwwwww.

I know I keep writing this but ANOTHER 3 baby guinea pigs were born!  This one is my fav, her fur is just a mass of cowlicks!

A Failed Vintage Manicure

I tried doing a 40's manicure with the moons at the cuticles and the edges also free of polish, like the picture above. I used French Manicure stickers instead of ring binders as I wanted a nice crisp edging......as you can see it didn't work out very well.

I started with 2 coats of Cult Nails Enticing for the base.

And chose China Glaze High Maintenance as the main color.
The trick is to be patient waiting for your base color to dry properly, instead of lashing on Seche Vite and waiting 5 minutes before taping. Then waiting AGAIN for your main color to dry before peeling off the stickers.

I am not a patient person.

So I ended up painting over the edges and finishing with a thick coat of Seche QD.

Anyone else tried sand failed at the 40s manicure?

Blackened Bleu & Clairvoyant Matte-ified

So, I started with Barielle's Blackened Bleu and loved it for 2 days. This was 2 coats.

I got a little bored so added a coat of Cult Nails Clairvoyant and kept that for another day.

And got bored again, so I added Essie's matte top coat!

How do you prefer your flakies? Glossy or matte-ified?

It Don't Mean A Thing If You Ain't Got The Bling

First of all, these are my new shoes. I am completely in love with them and will own them forever. Miss 4 made me promise to give them to her when she fits into them....but I have absolutley no intention of doing so. Sorry Miss 4.

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Big Money. Two coats. This collection is magical and I love every color I've bought so far.  Under flash above and in natural light below.

Argh, I gifted this bottle of Jordana before memorising the name!  It was one coat over red and it looked FAB.

Rockstar Nails Mardi Gras. CRAP polish but it looked pretty cool. 3 coats over A Nars Zulu dupe.

Lush Lacquer Party Rockin all on its lonesome. Cool bananas!

Kitsune Duochrome Topcoat

Shall I just let the pretty pictures do the talking?

Top 3 photos were taken in shaded natural light. Below was taken under artificial light.

Kitsune over 2 coats of MAC Vintage Vamp. The duochrome flash is super strong and does not need coaxing to come out.
The pick of the red to green flash topcoats in my opinion.

Cult Nails Captivate

Droool. Cult Nails Captivate over China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Pics don't show how truly blingy and yummy this combo was.

And Ruby Pumps on it's lonesome.

What other layering combos have you tried with Captivate?

Color Club Magnetic Force

I am officially a little 'over' the magnetic thing. After wanting some for so long, I am now flooded with them.

This is Color Club Magnetic Force. I got just this color as it looked to be unique in the magnetic color range. It is gorgeous, a deep warm brown that reminds me of bird feathers.

It magnetised well and the magnet was strong. Finished with a coat of Seche QD.

nyone else a little over the magnetics?
