Nubar Iris Dust

These pictures are of all the same polish! Nubar Iris Dust is certainly hard to photograph and I had to use mostly blurry ones to show the true colors.

These pictures were taken in the shade with no flash and show the polish at it's true color with no light interference. It flashes a brown/green duochrome mostly and then can look Bronze in some lights with no green flashes at all.

Tricky huh?

This was 2 very thin watery coats over 1 coat of Black.

Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers

I'm sorry Carina, feel free not to look at these pictures.

I told you not to look!

3 coats of Lippmann's Ruby Slippers with 1 coat of Seche QD and red rhinestones. This is a much more 'grittier' glitter than Bad Romance and needed at least 2 coats of Seche to try and make it smooth. The foil method is definately being used for this removal! Pics are under artificial light.

Sigh...isn't it divine???
Thanks Jen!

BAD ROMANCE Thanks to Jen!

Jen, thepolishaholic.com, has struck again! Look at what she sent me! All the Lippmanns on my wish list; Ruby Red Slippers, Across The Universe and Bad Romance! I have BR on my nails and ATU on my toes...what else could a girl ask for???

She also sent me 2 new Burlesque OPI's: Tease-y does it and The Show must Go On!

So without further ado, here is Bad Romace.....finally in my posession!
First 2 pics are under artifical light and last pic is in sunlight.

Thanks so much again Jen, you really do ROCK as a swap buddy!!

OPI Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ

I got this in Nicole's blogsale from Magic Maid as a kind of after thought but it has immediately gone to the list of my all time Top Fav's!
This is the color I have been searching for in William Tell Me about OPI, Lincoln Park...both of them, and Give Me Moor. It's wonderfully cremey and the perfect vamp Burgundy color.
This was 3 coats and stamped with Dark Red Konad. You can see that the Konad is so subtle and hardly stands out...which is exactly what I was going for!!
No top coat.

BLUE Spam!

I had no glass mojo today and my beads were coming out kinda sucky, so I shut down the kiln and contemplated tidying the house instead. That idea was instantly repulsive so I decided to paint my nails. I couldn't decide what color to do so just had a play with a few blues.

Orly Star of Bombay. You need to paint this polish on your fingers to understand why this polish is so freaking awesome. It's the most divine shade of Navy blue I have seen and it just slightly sparkles with a Navy shimmer....yummo. This was ONE coat! It's so heavily pigmented that only one is necessary. Instant love with this polish and I'm just bummed I didn't get it sooner!

OPI Dating A Royal. I can't see what the whole fuss is over this color actually. After 2 coats I still had VNL and it's a kind of washed out Blue color IMO. 2 coats.

Sally Hansen DVD, 1 coat over Orly Out of this World. How beautiful is this???!

OPI Russian Navy Suede. 1 coat of yummy suede divine-ness.

Le Beauty #168. This is 2 coat from Aussie brand Le Beauty. It's a navy jelly packed with silver glitter. The glitter is not showing up in my pictures but I'm comparing this polish to ChiChi Moondust.

Adrezia 29. This is a polish I got in Hong Kong and it has no name but 29 embossed on the bottom! A blue and silver foil and 2 coats.

Estillo #99. Another Hong Kong polish from Sasa. This color is beautiful and no matter how many pics I took, I couldn't capture the blue, purple and red teeny tiny micro glitter sparkle. 2 coats.

Happy Polishing!

OPI Flit a Bit

Yeah, this color is old news now but it's only new to me, and came from my super swap buddy Jen!

I was hoping Flit a bit was going to stay true to it's bottle color; a FRUIT Orange instead of a fluro Orange...but it went slightly fluro on my nails. I have 20 million bottles of fluro orange already so I was a bit bummed. This also took 3 coats to become opaque.

I got some new nail plates in yesterday from Holland and this is one of them, a geometric sunburst style pattern in Dark Red Konad with 1 coat of Seche QD. First two pics are under artifical light, last pic is in full sunlight.

Mode Swatches

Life is pretty stressful this week and the Cheetah is still on my nails so I thought I'd post some swatches from Aussie brand, Mode. For my Australian followers, I find mine at my local Chemmart Pharmacy priced at 2 for $4 or $2.50 each, but I have also seen them at a Price Cut Hairdressers.

Dressed Up. This is my go to Khaki. It's fine in 2 coats as suits my skintone.

Arsonist. A Dark red with gold shimmer. 2 coats. Just Yummo.

Blue Steel. Love this, it's a grey with all blue shimmer. 2 coats.

Trendsetter. 2 coats. A metallic bronzed gold.

Runway. A super dark and wonderfully pigmented Teal. This Konad's amazingly

Fabness. These pics show this color as a burgundy which it isn't at all...it's a dark Grape purple...I dont even know why I'm including these pics. 2 coats.

Glitterati. An almost dupe for Zoya Mimi. A dark purple glitter in purple jelly. Just divine and 2 coats.

Party Girl. A darker version of Orly Bailamos with a Turquoise shimmer. Much nicer than this picture IRL and 2 coats.

Eurotrip. A dark brown with gold shimmer. 2 coats.

Hope you enjoyed my spam!

Cheetah: Vintage Couture Style

I have soooo many untrieds but this manicure has been on my must do list for ages. Every now and then I see another blogger do a pastel Cheetah style manicure and I remember all over again how much I want to do it!

Once I started using Color Club's Vintage Couture I remembered how much I detest this formula but love the color. This was 3 thick gluggy coats and look at that streaking! UGH. Someone please recommend me another sickly sweet pastel pink!

I Konaded using Warm Black, for the dots I used China Glaze Heli-Yum, Lemon Fizz and Sportsgirl Hawaii Five-o for the Blue. 1 coat of Seche QD.

It looks really awesome and my husband thinks I'm so cool. He now looks at women's nails all the time and if they are painted a boring color he gives them a lecture on Konad and how they should really "Google it and try it"!
