How To Wear Your Hair As A Hat

(smile Carli)

What you need:
2 long hair rats the same color as your hair.
Lots of bobby pins
Hairspray

Grab a front and slightly off to the side section of your hair and wrap it around your hair rat. Roll it up tightly until it sits securely on your scalp. Bobby pin it into place and then gently seperate your hair along and up the sides of the rat until it is covered. Bobby pin, bobby pin, bobby pin!  Mine needed a little more covering on the very top, but it wasnt as noticeable in real life as this picture shows.

Roll your remaining hair over the second hair rat at the nape of your neck, again seperating the hair and pulling it along the rat until it is all covered. Bobby pin until very secure. Then hairspray till you know that baby is not going to move...ever! I added a little flower at the back, but it certainly doesn't need any more visual interest.

Be prepared to be told NUMEROUS times how FABULOUS you look. In fact, you will *almost* be sick of being told how FABulous you are.  Just make sure you have your eyebrows plastered in place and mascara on....unlike me.

(Off to the races?  No siree, this is just me off to the corner store for milk)

Comparing Paradoxel Dupes

I've previously swatched Barry M, Ulta3 and Sportsgirl Paradoxel dupes and recently I found a couple more! Australis Limited Edition I found on clearance for $2 and Essence Princess Prunella was a recent restock at my nearest Target.

L to R: Australis, Essence, Australis and Essence. Two coats each.  In artificial light.

In natural light.  As you can see, Australis is a clear dupe of Paradoxel whereas Essence leans towards brown with a very slight purple flash.

Australis has a reputation for being on the gloopy formula side, but Limited Edition flowed on like butter and was gorgeous.  I've since gotten rid of my Sportsgirl and Barry M dupes and kept this one. :)

Hope this helps you Aussie girls!

AWOL

Yes, I've been AWOL for a litle while now.  My computer completely fried and fizzled (don't even contemplate purchasing an Acer all in one touchscreen........THEY SUCK), my parents came for a holiday, we went away on a holiday, my Grandfather died, a guinea pig died and Miss 10 and Miss 3 are inconsolable..........so life interferring conincided with having no computer which was, if nothing else, handy.

I will be back again with daily posts....as soon as I figure out this new computer!!

So....which ones do I sell??? Which aren't the most flattering?

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.
These are eyeglasses which I had intented on using when I do indeed need glasses, but I think they age me 10 years. Yes?

Which numbers do I sell off?

China Glaze Riveting

Hands up who else was salivating at the thought of a Hunger Games polish collection then was seriously bummed when the colors were boring? Me too.

The only one I got was Riveting, even tho I have a couple of others almost the same already. The above pic was in full sunlight.

And in shaded light with a flash. I was so bored I didn't even do cuticle cleanup.

Maybe I'm just jaded??

Misa Fatal Affair & Party of Five

Misa Fatal Affair I purchased online recently without looking at swatches first. The bottle color is gorgeous but as usual, the shimmer didn't really translate to the nails as much.

So I slapped on some Wet n Wild Party of Five!

China Glaze Pull Me Close

I am LLLLOOOOOVVVVIIIINNNNGGGGGG this Magnetic craze! After so many years of Lemming them, I can know have my fill! And then some!

One coat of Pull Me Close. I used the China Glaze magnet. Even tho I have read bad reports about how weak this is, I had no problem at all getting my pattern to appear within a few seconds.

Taken in natural light with a flash. I have found that one coat is only needed to get excellent patterns. If you do two coats the pattern comes out quite weak.

Without a flash.  This shot shows the true color of Pull Me Close.

I do have a few 'cheaper' brand magnetics arriving in the mail soon, so it will be interesting how to match up with China Glaze.

China Glaze Ray-Diant

I'm still loving these China Glaze Prismatics, and this time they have stamping! Ray-Diant is a gorgeous Sunshine Pale Yellow which sparkles full of holographic glitter.

Again, 2 coats for opaqueness and no base color are needed with these babies.

Stamped with Konad Warm Black and finished with a coat of Seche QD.

In full sunlight.

FUSO 56

This is a color I picked up in Singapore last year and love it to death. I really do need to go back there again and stock up on these babies, the brand had heaps of cool colors!

It's a dark, vampy blood red with lots of dark red and blue glitter. This was 2 coats.

And matte-ified! Isn't it Fab??

China Glaze Prismatic Chroma Glitters

Further to my first post on these awesome glitters, I went and picked up the other colors I didn't purchase first time around. I am still missing Prsim, the purple, as the seller was out of stock.

Full spectrum. A pink duochrome. Like the rest, this one was also opaque in 2 coats and didn't need a base color.

Bottle shot.

Polarized, a silver base. 2 coats. This is one of my faves of the 5 colors I have. I love these glitters!

Bottle shot.

I gotta get me that Prism!  Did anyone else succumb to the lure of the Chromatic?

Etsy Nail Polish #2

Further to my first post of Etsy based nail polish sellers, I have compiled another listing for you. Franken Queens unite!

PamsandKin. Lovely colorful colors but no swatches! Please remedy!

ParisSparkles. Yum, check out Cobalt Surprise, opaque glitter in 2 coats!

Haze Glaze. Glitter, glitter and more glitt-ahhhhhhh.

AllThatGlitters. How have I not found this store before now? An order is in the works!

WonderBeautyProducts I would love a few of these but the fact that it comes in a kit and you have to make the polish yourself in a jar turns me off. If anyone has tested it please let me know what you thought.

LynBDesigns. Themed nail polish and stationary!

TinaAndLucy. The Labradorite color is certainly original, and it's my favourite gemstone.

SpookyBones. Your Silver Lining looks interesting.

TwoBirdsOneStore. Just added now after being contacted by the store owner. Thanks!

Have I missed any in this round?
Has anyone purchased from the above sellers and what did you think?
