Glitter Gal Holographics

I got my little fingy's on some Glitter Gal Holos! These have been on my wish list FOREVER and Kerry from Glitter Gal very generously sent me a couple! Yay for Kerry!

First up is Red Holographic. This is gorgeous and the most red holo I own. Perfect in 2 thin coats with no top coat. The holo has a gorgeous rainbow shine that is best under natural light, but still shines wonderfully under natural light. The forumula is wonderfully smooth and not stinky on the nose like some Holographic brands.
Even better than this, Glitter Gal have just released an apparently TRUE red Holographic called 'Not Another Red'. AND a better than OPI DS Glamour called Marine Blue!

White Holographic. This was 3 coats and no top coat. It is called White, but weirdly, it's really not a 'white' color at all but more of a pink sheer holo with glitter scattered through. This would be a perfect Wedding Day color or an everyday sheer color.
I also layered it over several colors to see if it gave a holographic topcoat effect. One coat from pointer to pinky: Chocolate brown, Cobalt Blue, Dark red and Teal. It looked the best over the Chocolate, giving it a holo glitter shine.

These are light reflective, chip resistant, salon quality polishes and are available from www.glittergal.com.au. While you are there, add some of their gorgeous lip glosses into your shopping cart! Golden Kiss puts a wonderful golden shine over any color! Best of all they ship Internationally!

Catrice Lost In Mud

I dropped my camera! It broke! I'm so sad :(
So from now on I have to use my large unweilding camera where I can't see what I'm taking until after the shot has been taken, when I look thru the History. So my pics might be a little lacking in the quality department.

This is 2 coats of Catrice Lost in Mud, a lovely rich, earthy brown creme. Catrice polishes are wonderful, always perfect in 2 coats and the formula is smooth. I want more!
Konaded with China Glaze 2030 and 1 coat of Seche QD.

Eyeko Nail Polish

I have 4 Eyeko polishes for you today. These bottles are so damn cute and stack so well in my polish drawers! All were 2 coats, no topcoat.

Vintage, a gorgeous Jade green. This was jelly-ish in formula, it was quite sheer but 2 coats seemed to do even when 3 would have been ideal.

Cosmic. My favourite of the 4...it's black with glitter! The holo flash of the glitter showed up fantasticly well, even in an inky Blacker than Black base. This was super shiny after 2 coats and I didn't even top coat it.

Vampira. Black with red glitter. I have swatched this previously and compared it to ChG Lubu Heels. They are dupes...IMO. Vampira is more opaque tho after 2 coats, whereas I saw call for a 3rd coat with Lubu. Vampira is a wonderful color and one of my staples.

Rain. This is a Grey-Blue with shimmer. I made this my manicure for the day as I really love this color in the bottle. On my nails and skincolor, it doesn't come out so well. It looks like a Steel Grey creme, and not at all shimmery like the bottle color. A tad disappointing so I added black rainclouds to show my disappointment and also for keeping with the name!

Overall the formula is wonderful and the formula smell is not pongy on the nose like some brands. They weigh in at 8.5ml, and retail on www.eyeko.com for 3.50 GBP. These items were sent to me for review by the Company.

Stay tuned for an upcoming Eyeko giveaway in the next couple of weeks!

Neon Cheetahs

I completely and blatantly stole this from Stiletto at Khronicles of a Konader, http://kroniclesofakonader.blogspot.com/, thanks heaps for yr awesome idea! It looked so unreal, I had to instantly sit down and do one myself.

My nails are shorter and I was only confident doing 4 different colored stripes. I used: 1 coat of white for the base, Sportsgirl Hawaii Five-O for the blue, Jay Jays Dazzle for the yellow, JayJays Spunk for the Pink and Catrice M-go Tango for the Orange. STamped it with Konad Warm Black and finished it with 1 coat of Seche QD.

And here's a picture before cleanup! It was my messiest mani yet, unfortunately you can't be concerned with cuticle floods when you have stripes to get right!

Apply a topcoat!

ChG Let's Do It In 3D

I did a China Glaze OMG haul last week, spending way too much money on the 6 pack from a seller on eBay. I though while I was at it I may as well buy Let's Do It in 3D as it's been on my wish list since forever.
This was 3 thin coats as after 2 you could still see slight bald spots. The rainbow shine is most pronounced under artificial light, and it's a gorgeous holographic. In natural light it is a very light Charcoal color.

I am still on the lookout for a true BLACK holo...does one exist?????

I Konaded my ring fingers and added a coat of Seche QD to all fingers. The topcoat didn't diminish the rainbow shine.

Australian OPI News

The PR reps at OPI Australia emailed me some exciting news for us Aussie girls....Nicole by OPI is coming to a chemist near you on the 1st of September!
There will be 48 colours in the collection and will include metallics, glitters and mattes. Plus there will be 6 treatment products.
All of the lacquers are formadehyde free and contain no other nasties, retailing for $14.95 at selected chemists and Terry White Pharmacies. For stockists contact 1800 358 999 or visit nicolebyopi.com.
Lisa emailed me all 48 colors but obviously I cannot upload them all, so here are my favourite 6 colors and I am more than happy to forward the rest on to my followers, just email me.

Imagine If, Glitter Silver...looks like a dash of Holographic there to me!

Snow you Care, Show Stopping Black-Violet

Have a Heart, pink hearts in a sheer glitter.

I Stop for Nicole, A shimmering Red

I've got the Power, A berry shade of red-pink

Sorry, no nail swatches but the bottle pics look nice and hopefully are close to the actual color once we see them on the shelves.

A Bit of Cheery Bling

I have been absent the last dew days due to the kids having a terrible flu, then being struck down with it myself. And having to work away for 3 days during it all which was stressful.
I am back with a bit of bling to make myself feel a tad cheery, 2 coats of super shiny LA Girls Sterling from the Metal Collection. This is pretty much the brightest silver I own...even blingier than CC What a Drag.
I Konaded it with Warm Red and added 1 coat of Seche QD.

Swap With Tiff & Kleencolor Jazz Olive

Tiff and I had another swap, and this one is a doosy! Lookee at all the stuff! She crossed of a few Wish List items for me including Wild and Willing, Atlantis, 2 Golden Rose holographics and...OPI Merry Midnight...YAY!! Plus a heap of yummy stuff including my coveted Jolly Ranchers. She also sent some cuticle scrub and I immediately had a go of it. My cuticles are extremely dry lately (which I think is due to cuticle oil....does that sound weird?) and this scrub was the best thing ever for my nails. They felt so smooth, clean and looked less stained afterwards. I did hubby's hands and they looked almost decent for the first time in years. Thanks heaps Tiff!

Onto the mani of the day..lots of pics cause it's super COOL! This is using one of Tiff's polishes she sent, Kleencolor Jazz Olive. She knows I love Kleencolor and sent a few for me this time!
I'm going to a 15th Wedding Anniversary tonight and was planning on doing a gold mani and when I saw this color, I knew it would be perfect. It's a super bright metallic Greeny Gold. IT's actually so shiny that it looks like a Minx manicure!
This is 2 coats with Warm Black Konading using a Konad design that I hadn't previously used. 1 coat of Seche QD.
So, whatcha all think? As bright as a Minx?? It sure cost less!

Ulta3 Hot Spring

This is an Australian brand, Ulta3, that is sold in some Chemists. This is 2 coats of a beautiful Dark Pink, Hot Spring, and it dries to a high gloss shine. If I was careful I could have done one coat as the formula is gorgeous. I Konaded it with China Glaze Emotion and Konad Warm Black for the tips. 1 Coat of Seche Vite QD.

I've added a Blog Sale page so go and have a gander. All prices are in Australian Dollars but I can XE.com amounts into any currency and post Airmail.
I'll add to it every now and then so keep it bookmarked!

SH Nail Prisms PURPLE DIAMOND

This is an older Sally Hansen polish but I only just got it, so it's new to me! I would like more Nail Prisms but they seem harder to get now and I count myself lucky I was able to get 2 of my favourites at a decent enough price on da' Bay.
This is 3 coats of Sally Hansen Purple Diamond, which is of course, a dusty Purple with a nice holographic shine. In natural light it's a bit of a plain dirty looking purple but comes alive under artificial lights. After 2 days of wear I added some Warm Black Konad with a coat of Seche QD.

And my friend, Kelli, offered to swap me a jar of homemade lemon curd for a manicure...how could I say no to lemon curd??
This is 2 coats of Catrice I Scream Peach with Warm Black Konading. I think it turned out awesome and the black was a great contrast!
