Loreal Limited Edition Cannes Film Festival Trio

I'm a little late to this limited edition color party, but I only just purchased them recently in Target, when they were phasing them out at $2.88 each! They really are 'riche' in color and just gorgeous.

Magestic Croisette #811, 2 coats. Look at this blue shimmer flash! My favourite out of the 3.

Majestic Green #807, 2 coats. This green shimmer has a glow to it that is just beautiful.

Mystic Blue #809, 2 coats. Not terribly original, but again, the glow makes it a little bit special.  It also looks fab in shade and artificial light.

If you have the luck to still find these in a retailer, make sure you grab them.  I initially passed them over at $6.95 each, but in hindsight, they are probably even worth spending that much on them!

Color Club Gift Of Sparkle

This is rather nice and my pick of the bunch. Two coats of Color Club's Gift Of Sparkle, from this year's Holiday Collection.
It dries to a very gritty and matte finish, so it needs at least 2 coats of topcoat.

White Chocolate & Cranberry Cookies

I seem to make these biscuits (cookies to you US readers) when I'm feeling sad or a little depressed. This batch Miss 4 and I made when we heard about the Connecticut shootings and were feeling shocked, violated, sick and upset.

Ingredients:

200g butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup condensed milk
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups of rolled oats
1 1/4 cups of dried cranberries
1 cup of White choc bits

1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F)
2. Cream butter, brown sugar & condensed milk. Add egg, vanilla essence and beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Sift flour & baking soda into the mixture. Stir in rolled oats, cranberries and choc bits. Place heaped tablespoons of the mixture onto a greased oven tray.

4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
I like my biscuits soft, so always cut a couple of minutes off the baking time for each batch.

Makes 35-40.

And the best part about making bikkies?

Raw batter.......mmmmmmmmmmm.
Plus, they have dried fruit and oats in them, so that means they're healthy, right?!

Illamasqua Glitterati

This is Glitterati, half of the Xmas pack duo Illamasqua brought out this year.  The other color was Viridian, one that had been on my Lemmings list for years.
Isn't Glitterati gorgeous?  It also flows on like butt-ah and only needs 2 coats.  Noice.

It's A Trap-eze!

This is one of the fun-est polishes I've had for a few weeks! This is my pick from the Circque Du Solei collection from China Glaze.

Two coats of It's a Trap-eze and look at how much glitter is packed into this thing!  It also dries nice and flat so you only need one coat of top coat.  Very happy China Glaze!

Shoesday!

These Irregular Choice heels, from a few years ago, are a favourite and are in danger of being worn out!  The carved lucite heels and shiny red patent leather make me all happy inside, and the crocheted lolly on top is just da bomb.

The inside soles are covered in blue velvet and they feel lovely on bare feet!  They also match a big percentage of my wardrobe, which is always a plus.

Booty-Licious & Olympic Rings

Target had Chi Chi on sale last week for 25% off, and this mini grabbed my eye; Booty-Licious.  After two coats it was slightly too sheer, but I intended on layering Olympic Rings by Nail'd it over the top.   How hot is this color for Summer?

Finished with a coat of Seche Vite.

Orly Hope & Freedom Collection: Melodious Utopia & Peaceful Opposition

What sets ORLY’s Hope & Freedom collection apart from other pastel polishes is the variety of finishes, which includes crèmes, a shimmer and even a glitter for when you want to add extra sparkle to your day.

The collection includes:
• Boho Bonnet (Soft Grey-Blue Crème)
• Elation Generation (Bright Pink Glitter Crème)
• Melodious Utopia (Soft Yellow Crème)
• Peaceful Opposition (Silver/White Glitter)
• High On Hope (Navy/Purple Shimmer)
• Coachella Dweller (Pale Green Crème)

This is 3 coats of Peaceful Opposition, which is a milky white base with white and silver glitter.  This would also be great for layering in jelly sandwiches.

And Melodious Utopia.
First of all, how much do we love the name?!  It sounds so peaceful.
This swatch photo shows 4 coats.  It is quite sheer and did need 4 to become opaque.  This shade of Yellow was not the best for my skin tone but the bright pink shimmer flash saves it from never being worn again!

All six shades in ORLY’s Hope & Freedom collection are ‘3-free’ and equipped with ORLY’s world famous Gripper Cap for easier application.  The RRP will be $18.95 and will be on shelf March 2013.

Hello Sailor!

As soon as Bernie released photos of this dress, it went on my MUST BUY OR ELSE I MAY JUST DROP DEAD list. Unique Vintage had it for 25% off during Black Friday, so it went into the shopping cart.

The super wide navy belt comes with the dress, and I am unsure about it.    It is too wide for my waist length, it sits right under by boobs and it's a little uncomfortable. I am sure you longer waisted gals will have no problem with it tho ;)
Next time I wear it I may swap it for a thinner red one and see how it looks.

Miss 4 loves to photobomb and make fun of Mummy.

Essence The Huntsman

Wowee, isn't this gorgeous? Kudos to Essence for doing glitter a little bit different by adding huge chunks and shreds of holographic glitter!  The Hunstman is from the new Snow White collection that Target Australia has just released in their stores.

This was 2 coats over Face of Australis Would You Like Some Orange Sherbet?
