That was the first thing that came into my mind when I saw Lippmann's Glitter In The Air on my fingernails.
Isn't is disgusting?!!
So disappointed, I have been Lemming this for a long time before using a precious Gift Card up on it.
Four coats!!! Ugh. So to top it all off, I stamped some horrible, horrible stamping over it.
BBBBRRRRRRRAAAAIIIINNNNNSSSSSSS!!!!
I think this polish would look a heck of a lot better with some "underwear". But yes, cow brains :/
ReplyDeleteThis has to be *the* oddest nail polish I've ever seen! It looks like it should be really pretty in the bottle. I'm sorry you wasted a gift card on it =(
ReplyDeleteI kind of like it with the Hello Kitties! Lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks doll,
The Glamorous Housewife
Yap, layer it! :) It's so pretty over baby blue, pink, well anything light. <3
ReplyDeleteBwahahahaha! I was kind of lemming this but now... I don't know... :P
ReplyDeletethat is an unfortunate shade of blue... Maybe if you layer it over a nice navy or black! or maybe just over a better shade of baby blue :) the glitters are very pretty...
ReplyDeleteeeeeeewwwwwwwww! (for the title!)
ReplyDeletemaybe you could swap it or try it over other colours?
sorry! big disapointment :(
Jellied calf brains, ugh. I was also really disappointed in this. I love the stamps but not on that polish. Ick!
ReplyDeleteKelly. LOL! Underwear, love it.
ReplyDeleteShelby. Me too....maybe I can save it somehow.
Glamorous Housewife. HK looks good anywhere but not sure this time....!
Ivana. Yep, good thinking 99. I'll experiment with it.
Ice Queen. Yeah, $18 is a lot on a gamble.
Thanks Samantha, Def going to try a Navy.
Eleobel. Sorry, but I couldnt get that name outa my head!
Lucy. It's just a fail all round I think!
I think maybe you should layer it over a blue? But, you're right...and now I will only EVER think of jellied calf brains when I see this polish. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteI really like it! But I don't think I'll ever be able to look at this color again without thinking of jellied calf's brains. Ewww. lol
ReplyDeleteLOL :D I just ordered Lynnderella Gotta love brains, which is similar to this. I hope it won't look anything like calf brains.
ReplyDeleteNow I am going to be thinking about sparkly cow brains all day....
ReplyDeleteI do agree with some of the other comments, it needs to be layered over something, a blue or a gray.
I'm not totally sold on GITA myself. I have layered it over Hard Candy Sky and OPI what's with the catitude and I do like it better. I have also seen it with white and lilac underwear.
ReplyDeleteI hate to add to your pain, but want to let others know that Revlon has a dupe of it called Whimsical I've read about. I've never been totally into the color myself so I'm definitely waiting for the dupe!
ReplyDeletePS. I liked the HK stamps also!
Here's a link where they do a side by side comparison between Lippman and Revlon's dupe: http://hotpinkaurora.blogspot.com/2011/11/more-on-revlon-dupes-deborah-lippmann.html
ReplyDeleteLMFAO thank you for ruining this polish for me XD but seriously, thank you for saving the money hahaha
ReplyDeleteOMG I had to LMAO at the title of this post! XD I am so sorry you didn't like the polish though, especially at that price. :/ Maybe try it with some powder blue underwear like Hard Candy Sky?
ReplyDeleteI have Revlon's dupe for GITA and wore it (1 coat) over Essie's Bobbing for Baubles (dark blue). I loved how milky and interesting it became! I wasn't pleased with it either at first, but since testing it out over a few polishes, it's growing on me.
