Essie Jelly Apple & Nfu-Oh 45

More untrieds I found while cleaning the polish drawers! Essie Jelly Apple is a favourite and I use it whenever I'm feeling in the mood for a bright red.  Nfu-Oh 45 has been forgotten about when I reach for flakies as I automatically go for Hidden Treasure, but I wanted an all red manicure to match a Vintage outfit I had in mind.

Two coats of Jelly Apple. Formula is perfect, probably the best I have ever used.

Then one coat of Nfu-Oh 45. This is extremely sheer and you would need at least 4-5 coats before it became opaque enough to wear alone. Waste of polish, so layering is the answer. Artificial light.

In full sunlight. Look at that sparkle!
Adding the Nfu turned a bright red manicure into an orange red, but the sparkle in the sunlight made me not mind so much.
I have been wearing this for 4 days now and altho I am truly sick of it (but have had zero time to repaint my nails) I am super impressed that after all this time I have very minimal tipwear with no chips.   Bonus.

  2. My nails shift colors now and then, but some reason I always go back to read quite often. Red nails is just so classic! :)
