Bettie Page Fringe Into A Faux Fringe!

My fringe (bangs to you USA lovelies),  as above in it's natural state, is too short to do anything with.  But I recently was successful, for the first time, in rolling my very short fringe into a faux roll!  It was completely trial and error with a crap load of hairspray.....

An Uncle Fezter hair flower hides all the mucky bits! (Etsy store link)

So....how did I do?

  1. You did AMAZING! The sepia photo looks legit vintage, and you look great. The bangs steal the show, but that hair flower is *almost* as good :).

  2. This is so awesome!!! One of the things I've missed most since becoming a wig wearer, as much as I do love the heavy bangs on my wig, is doing a classic rolled bang look like that. Could you please share more on how you got short bangs to pull of a roll so splendidly, I'm eager to try myself now.

    1. I can try and do a tut but my first time was mainly error! I can assume that a wig will be MUCH easier to do this on. I can tell you that it involved a hair rat and LOTS of bobby pins...I will attempt clearer instructions once I do it myself again and can remember them!

  3. Looks great! Well done! Now...tutorial please ;) I have wanted to do this with my fringe for ages but I always thought it was too short and I didn't know how.
