HITS Artemis v's Hefesto Comparison

I'm posting this comparison because as I opened my order, I was initially mad thinking I was sent the same bottle twice....before realising that yes my order was correct, and yep those 2 colors look exactly the same.

So here is 2 coats each of Artemis (pointer and middle finger) and Hefesto (ring and little pinky).

So....yep, the same...no?
Hope this has saved someone $8!

  3. I think one bottle might be mislabeled. Artemis is supposed to be pretty frosty looking.

  4. Hi,

Artemis is a silver holographic polish and Hefesto was made to be used as a top coat, adding the holo effect to any color without modify it. If you try to use Artemis as a top coat, you'll see the difference between them.

    1. Even at one coat each, they both looked exactly the same.

  5. I have both and they are slightly different.
Artemis is more frosty and metallic looking while Hefesto is smoother...the color is the same but the finish is a bit different...

  6. I had to really, really, *really* look at your photos to see the differences. The difference is so tiny that there's no way that I would by both.
Personally, I don't see how Hefesto is supposed to be a topcoat without changing the color of the color under it, it definitely seems to have a slightly-tarnished-silver base to it.

    1. As far as top coats go, this is quite 'snowy' and not clear. Personally, I wouldnt use this one as a top coat.

  7. Hi, I love your blog!!! And you have a gorgeous family!
I'm brazilian and I have the Hefesto and the brand Speciallitá sells him as a holografic top coat, but he is so strong... For the holografic effect I'm always aply a very thin layer.
    Kisses!

  8. gorgeous polish but yeah it sucks that they are so very close - I wouldn't notice the difference if you didn't let on

  9. Hmmm....I did some other online investigating and they should be different. I really think it is possible you got a mislabeled bottle.

  10. Well even though they're pretty much the same polish, the good side of this is that now you have 2 gorgeous polishes!
