More More Mode Swatches!

You all know I'm a little obsessed with Australian brand, Mode, at the moment. They wear all week without chipping, most are one coaters and the range of colors is HUGE. And all this for $2.45 or at my local chemist; 2 for $4.

I have a few more for you today, starting with Fashionista which is a dark Hot Pink. The pigmentation is unbelieveable and this swatch was one coat. It is also awesome to Konad with and stamps beautifully. First pic, artifical light with flash. Second pic, natural light no flash.

Onto my least favourite, Say Cheese. Too watery for me by itself at 2 coats, but I plan on layering it over white next time to make this color pop. Pics are under artificial light.

And my favourite of this latest haul: No Curfew. At first I thought this would be another bright red to add to my collection but it's not.
Firstly, it's a syrupy JELLY. Freaking yay!
Secondly, it maybe syrupy but it's perfectly opaque in 2 coats. Double freaking yay!
Thirdly, it's not a bright red but a gorgeous tomato Orange.
It reminds me of a weak Home Brand tomato sauce I once had the misfortune of pouring all over my sausage in bread once at a BBQ. It's that color. It's gorgeous.

I then layered it with one coat of Nfu-Oh #44 which are flakies in a pale transparent orange base. Horrible by itself but when layered over No Curfew makes flakie magic.

I still have more Mode swatches to come...I'm having so much fun scooping up these babies! As I said in my last Mode post, these are available at Chemmart pharmacies and Priceattack that I know of, but the stockist phone number is 1300 650 981 if you wanted to check whereabouts they are available in your area.

  2. Wow, they look great. I have a couple of Modes, but might have to get myself Fashionista to stamp with. Nfu Oh #44 looks beautiful over No curfew. Love it.

  7. These colours are so cute, I was wondering how long in average you keep a nail polish on? I actually love the last sparkly orange. I would go well with a cute dress like the one in ps i love you. I got some fab pics about it on my blog. smile Virginie vivibijoux.com

  8. Millie. Stay tuned....little birdie told me that new colors are coming out soon!

Virginie. Depends on how busy I am that week. The No Curfew in this post was on 4 days, but the average is 2-3 days before I change my manicures. BTW, I luv your cute little coin purses!

  11. Really?! Maybe they are busy. Wish I live in Mel, then I can go there by myself. I knew they got some stock in. I was so looking forward to ordering them. But, I'm not sure why they don't update their website and let us order them online directly.

  14. These colors are all so gorgeous and juicy -looking. I wonder what a third coat would do for the yellow?
And the addition of the flakies.... love!

  15. I don't care for the yellow but the rest are gorgeous! That orange is a beautiful juicy jelly. Add those flakies makes it crazy gorgeous.

  17. I adore Mode polishes! I highly recommend Tatt-Tastic and Arsonist. Total faves. Unfortunately my Mode stand is always picked over and has 1000 bottles of Tree Hugger and some pale pink leftover. I wish they would restock!
