Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire

This was on my lemming list and a fellow Ausie blogger took pity on me and sold me her bottle!

Now that I have it, it's a little bit of a letdown. This is my second Lynnderella and I couldn't see what all the fuss was about the first time around, and this color also has left me feeling that way.

I couldn't get it shiny even after 2 coats of Glitter Tamer and a coat of Seche QD.  And as a much higher priced glitter, I felt it wasn't worth the money.  I have soooooooo many more glitters in my stash that just POP and only cost $8.

I layered it it over OPI DS Extravagence, here is 2 coats of it on it's own.

Does anyone else own VPV and do you like it?

  1. No, no VPV's on this end, sorry, but for what it's worth I think this polish looks absolutely lovely on you. I totally see what you meant, but rather like the somewhat understated intensity of the glitter (I can't help thinking this would be an amazing polish to partner with a she devil or vampire Halloween costume).

  2. i used it as an accent finger on my ring finger over picture polish vampire and it looked wayyyyyyyy better than as a full manicure.

  3. I think this is really really pretty (and the name really suits it) but it's not that unique.

  4. I also have been let down by this brand...it was hyped because it was out there among the first of the 'homemade' indies doing different things. But the whole impossible to get - the inflated prices and lack of performance of the ones I got ... well I stopped lemming this brand and also stopped buying them all together. I would never want to put anything other than a clear topper over OPE DS Extravagance - I adore it - but then fuchsia/magentas are my top fav shades up there next to amazing reds - they are the 2 shades I reach for more than any others.

  5. I was disappointed with this one too at first. I wore it over DL Single Ladies and the glitter just didn't do anything for me. I tried it again recently over a pink creme (OPI Pink Friday) and I liked it so much more. I think I like my Lynns more when I wear them over something that adds a little contrast.

  6. Hi everyone glad i found this site! I am waiting on my first 2 bottles of lippmann collection polish. This will be my very first experience with high end polish but i must know what you use as a top coat to get your nails so shiny? And do i need a bottom coat of anything as well? I am a polish virgin and oh so excited to give it a go!
