Everything's Coming Up Blue Roses

I never wear solid black. It's so boring. But the splash of blue roses make this an acceptable addition to my vintage wardrobe. I searched on Etsy until I found a HUGE rose hair flower, because a plain-ish dress like this screams out for large bouquets in the hair.

Doing the Flamingo.

Unfortunately, it ripped during the first time I wore it, and not along a seam, so I have the expensive task of taking it to my dressmaker to try and be fixed.

Yes, it looks like I'm demented but it's a photo showing my blue petticoat!   I know it matches and looks pretty even if nobody else sees it!

  3. I love the shoes! Have you seen that cute little vintage clothing store along the main road of Smythesdale, next door to the post office. They had the some fantastic shoes like these. They had a few dresses too but nothing as beautiful as this one.

  4. How elegantly beautiful - you look absolutely marvelous! I'm sorry it ripped on you so soon, that must have been one of those gut twisting "oh no!!!" moments. Fingers crossed your dress maker can do a great job of fixing it.

  5. This is going to sound a little odd (possibly), that is the third dress I had on my favorite's list on Etsy that has now been featured on your blog. We must be similar in size and taste. So, I suppose it goes without saying that I think you look great in that dress!

I am so sorry that you ripped it. Good luck getting it repaired.
