Boring Makes Me A Little Uneasy

Something a little boring for my usual flamboyant tastes, but I found this little dress stashed away in the back of the wardrobe and realised I had never worn it.  Purchased for a bargain price of $20 a couple of years ago on Etsy.  The shoes were the only pair I own in a plain neutral color and were purchased recently for $6 from Brands Exclusive.

I felt a little drab, but was surprised that I got more outfit compliments than usual.
Maybe boring becomes me?  How horrifying!!

It has crocheted rose and stud details over the bodice which are all in mint condition.  In fact, the whole dress looks barely worn.   The back is zipped with a buckle belt, which is handy to belt in if I ever wake up one day and find my waist has shrunk by several inches.  HA!

Once again, my hair flower is made by Uncle Fezter Flowers.  Have you checked out his store yet?

  1. I have a theory on that! I do think that look works for you, but I don't think that's why you got all the compliments.

People notice changes- so when you dress differently than you normally do, people are more prone to pay attention to what you're wearing. So they give compliments, since it looks good. I think it's the same reason everyone gets compliments on their new haircuts. You feel different, so you carry yourself differently, so people notice.

  3. I don't think anything with that many rhinestones can truly qualify as boring! It's certainly a very flattering silhouette on you. And I love the flower you've paired it with.

  7. You need a pair of wild yellow shoes, they will do the trick. You look slim and lovely, do use it more often. :)

    1. Oooh, yellow shoes would be Fab! But that would mean buying MORE shoes.....I may end up divorced!

  8. You truly make everything you wear look exciting, stylish and so immensely pretty. I really don't think you have a single boring gene in your whole body (and, I'd venture to say, or a single boring garment in your whole wardrobe), dear gal.
