Blogger's Back

So, what went on exactly with Blogger the last few days?  I couldn't read anybody's blogs and I have a million pages to catch up on! 

Who else is watching the final of Eurovision tonite?  I really don't follow music but Eurovision is a must for me and I'm forgoing my almost nightly rewatch of Mad Men for it. I've also had 3 days away at a Bead Show, so it's jammies on and curling up on the couch tonight.

This is 2 coats of MAC Jade Dragon, which I have featured before, but it's one of my all time fav's and felt it needed showing again.  I forgot to get a polish only photo tho, sorry! 
I Konaded it with ChG 2030 and 1 coat of Seche QD. It's been 3 days and this is almost still perfect with only minimal tip wear. Love it.

I realise that I've featured green polishes all week and it wasn't intentional.  My green phase has passed and I'm in the mood for some brights this week.

Agnes B VERT SIRENE Magnetic

Ange from Scandalous sent this to me MONTHS ago and I only have just realised what it is......magnetic.  A FREAKING magnetic polish and I never knew it!! 

In my defence, the bottle and the magnet are worded with seemingly different brands, so I didn't immediately put 2 and 2 together until I went to Google the polish and after much searching finally found it on a French website with the magic word 'magnetique'. That site isn't showing them at the moment so I'm guessing they are now discontinued.

This is one coat of Agnes B Mini B polish in Vert Sirene.  On close inspection it has teeny tiny blue particles floating through the bottle but this doesn't translate onto the nail.  The magnet Ange sent makes multiple lines after holding it as close as you can to the nail for approx 30 seconds.  I finished it off with one coat of Seche QD.

Gorgeous, oui?

Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe

While I'm waiting here for the local plumbers to come and replace my hot water service, I thought I would show you all this gorgeous polish and try and take my mind off my unwashed hair and greasy face.  With it 10 degrees Celcius outside, a quick cold shower would probably freeze my insides and I would probably implode....so I'm waiting for the hot water.

I know it's a little old now but I'm only testing out this color for the first time. I've been on a green kick lately and luckily enough, all my untrieds are nearly green!
Orly MMUTM is gorgeous under any light but I'm sure you will agree with me that outside in natural light is where this baby pops.

This was 2 coats and I didn't want to cover it too much with stamping so I just did some small flower bursts in Konad Orange.  1 coat of Seche QD topcoat.

A Few Vintage Looks

Doin' the 60's in my Bettie Page 'Charm' Dress in Rust.  With my $4,000 diamonds brooch I bought in a costume jewellery lot at an antique auction for $20.  Beehive hairstyle courtesy of 'Bumpits'!

Styling my new Modcloth red wedges while eating my breakfast of raisin toast.  50's Mohair cardi from Bells Belle's Vintage.  Sailor pants from Boden.  Bakelite brooch and bangles all from eBay.

Zoya Faye

I knew this color looked gorgeous in the online photos I keep seeing but nobody said this baby was so beautiful in real life!
It's extremely flattering with my skintone and I can't stop looking at the Rose Gold shimmer. Lots of pics cause I don't know which ones NOT to include! First pic is under artificial light at night, second and third are in natural sunlight.
This was 2 coats with Warm Black Konading using a new BM plate. One coat of Seche QD.

Zoya Gemma & Metallic Muse

Zoya Gemma is a Caca color on me, so I'm just going to give the basics without any raving.

This was 2 coats and as you can see the blue color shimmer is very evident. On the up side, this hasn't chipped on me at all after 3 days which is unusual for a Zoya mixed with Seche.

I Konaded it with China Glaze Metallic Muse and added 1 coat of Seche QD.  First pic is artificial light and second is in full sunlight.
