Scofflaw OVER RIPE

Femme Fatale Cosmetics sent me a couple of polishes to review and included was one from Scofflaw, an Indie brand I previously had not known about.

Over ripe is exactly what you conjure up in your mind: a soft, squishy strawberry that should have been eaten yesterday!  The bottle didn't Wow me much but it was surprisingly really pretty once on the nails.  It's a smooth flowing jelly packed full of gold, red and black glitter.

You will need to tip the bottle over for several minutes before applying as the glitter is not in a suspension base.

Scofflaw can be purchased on Femme Fatale's website HERE.

a-england Iseult

Something a bit cutesy but not all that terrible flash.

Tequila Sunrise is definitely a layering polish.  On it's own it's a very sheer pink.  But when layered over a darker color, it turns into a multichrome spectacular!  I got very Christmas Beetle looking nails when I layered a coat of it over Black gels.

And Alcyone is another ridiculously easy multichrome shifting color,  the larger sized flecks thru out make this is denser polish which wouldn't need any undies if you don't mind 3 coats.  I did one coat over Black for my swatches.

Crows Toes can be purchased at Llarowe, Overall Beauty and Femme Fatale.

Emily de Molly COSMIC FORCES

Cosmic Forces by Emily de Molly is another polish to be seen in real life to be appreciated.  In my opinion, not as luscious and gorgeous as her sister, Oceanic Forces, this is still richly, royally Purple.  Again, the large circles are a mongrel to fish out,  but worth the hassle.  This was 3 coats.

Birthday Suit is a sheer layering polish that will turn a darker color multichrome.  I first swatched it on it's own, 3 coats.  If you like a semi transparent color then this may float your boat.  Personally, I dislike visible nail line so I then layered it over black.

Heartless is another fabulously densely packed glitter in Magenta, Black with tiny holographic sparkles.  Two coats were needed for opacity.

Crows Tows can be readily purchased from Femme Fatale, Llarowe and Overall Beauty.

Back Soon!

We are off To Hong Kong for 10 days today!

I apologise in advance, but I won't be able to reply or comment on any comments left during this time, but I will endeavour to make up for it on my return!  I also didn't really get my act together and type up 10 days of scheduled posts, so there will only be a post every few days.  I'm in holiday mode!

Also no vintage outfit posts are scheduled, so if you are here just for vintage related may want to stay away for 10 days!

Back soon!

I Can Haz Hong Kong Vintage?

I am off to Hong Kong in 3 days!  This will be my fourth trip to one of my most favourite places in the World....but every single trip I have never managed to find a single Vintage related store!  So, it's time for some local help please!

Are there any vintage shops worth searching out while in HK?

So, I had stopped buying glitters.  Cause I am over them.
But Emily de Molly had a sale last week and I decided to grab Oceanic Forces due to reading it being raved over on forums.

Needless to say, this baby has made it to my Top 10.  It's gloriously rich in color, flows on smoothly and after a coat of Seche QD, is smooth as glass.  My swatches are 3 coats.

The only nit pic I have is that the large circles are a MUST to include in your manicure......and they are a bit of a mongrel to fish out.  Even tho the bottle clearly contains HEAPS of them, it took me a few good minutes for each nail to snag one.  But for glitters, fishing and placing is about the normal.

Emily's website is for Australian sales only but she includes International stockists info.

Crows Toes Lil' Miss Sunshine

Lil' Miss Sunshine has a blindingly bright green shimmer.  It comes across a little white looking in my photos but in real life it's quite green.  My swatches are 3 coats.

Crows Toes can be purchased from Llarowe, Femme Fatale and Overall Beauty.

Polkadots & Gingham

This outfit turned into a bit of a jumble.  It looked better in my mind than it does looking back at these photos!   The hair needs the roots done very badly and the fringe desperately needs a good chop.  Get me to a hairdresser quick!

Shoes: Irregular Choice

(P.S, Is it normal to tire of red hair so quickly?)

Um, No...He Went To The Pawn Shop

The husband LOVES the name of this polish.  Hence I have to keep it for ever, just so he can pick it up every few months and have a laugh.

This is one coat of Um, No...he went to the Pawn shop by Crows Toes.  As always with Crows Toes, one coat of glitter is all you are going to need.  As you can see, this glitter sparkles in both natural (first pic) and artificial (second pic) lights.

I layered it over another Crows Toes polish: Celaeno.  Another of Lauri's amazing multichrome colors which needs absolutely no coaxing to get it to change a myriad of colors.

Want these?  Llarowe and Overall Beauty both stock Crows Toes colors.
