It's our 15th Wedding Anniversary today!
I've pumped out 2 kids, my boobs don't sit where they used to and the belly is more jelly than belly...but he still worships the ground I walk on!
Luv ya Boo!
He is sweeping me off to Melbourne for the night tomorrow where we are staying in a swanky hotel with a buffet breakfast. I also get my present tonight....argh, can't wait!!
Onto the nails! Ange from scandalouslypolished.com sent me an awesome package this week which was full of wishlist colors. Because we have been housebound due to flooding, I have alternated my time around swatching, trying to keep kids amused and doing a teeny, tiny amount of housework. I try not to do much more that that or else everyone will expect it all the time.
Thanks to Ange I got my wonderfully painted nails on Zoya Valerie. The color is hard to capture so I have 3 photos all in different light.
Outside in sunlight.
Inside, no light and no flash.
Artificial light with a flash.
I have a love / hate relationship with Zoya. I love the colors they come out with but absolutely hate the chipping. Zoya will chip on me almost immediately after painting my nails, guaranteed. See the first pic? A chip on the middle finger and that was straight after they had dried!
I added a few nail stickers and 2 coats of Seche QD to make them smooth.
My Scandalous Swap! BB Couture, Misa, Zoya's, Mulberry Madness and my first Icing! Yummo.
Thanks again Ange!
Congratulations, that's amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you tried using the Zoya Colour Lock System with their colours? I find they wear like iron if I do. All Lacquered Up has a good post on what to wear with Zoya polish to make it last longer, it's the quick dry top coats that are usually the problem because of an ingredient called Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, apparently. Here's the link: http://www.alllacqueredup.com/2010/03/zoya-ivanka-wear-test.html#more-2460
Hope that helps, and once again congratulations on your anniversary! :)
Hahaha! Im glad you're still head over heels in luuurve with each other. you're an inspiration. :) Happy Anniversary! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks Jenny$1983! It's a tad reassuring to find I'm not the only one with this problem but also a bit cheesed off that I have to buy their "Lock" system to make their polishes work. Things that make ya go hmmmmmm....
ReplyDeleteCoffretgorge. Yeah, we are a bit sickening actually. Still kiss with tongues and everything!

ReplyDeleteI love Zoya Valerie.
I heard that you don't actually NEED the color lock system but that you shouldn't ever use Seche with Zoya. I've been using the Sally Hansen red bottle Insta-Dri instead with good results. Happy Anniversary!!
