Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Yes, I am one of those dupeheads that got sucked into thinking this is the next best thing since 230. It's gorgeous and everything but since reading STEF'S comparison post, I am a little deflated that it's not really like 230 at all.

Here is 2 coats of Fantasy Fire over 2 coats of Mode Glamazon.

I couldn't see a lot of color shift to the green and couldn't grab it quick enough to get a good photo.

I paid $20 including shipping to Australia for this on eBay.
Who else has paid thru the nose for this tiny bottle of sparkly supposed dupe-ess?

  2. I've bought one too (although don't have it yet), before I saw stefs post, and paid the same. But the collector in me still knows I need this polish! Amazingly beautiful even if it isn't a dupe.

  3. Still such a gorgeous shade even if the colour shift is not as strong - looks fantastic on your lovely nails

  5. I'm disappointed as well. I got sucked into the hype and spent $36 US, (that is with the shipping added on) and now I'm kinda like WHYYYY DID I DO THIS?? lol At least the ebay seller included an Essie crystal file and few other goodies. So now I don't feel as bad. But for about $100 I could have had Clarins 230, which is a full size bottle. To get the same amount with Max Factor I would have to spend around $60 for 2 bottles....

  6. Pretty polish but I don't think it's close to 230. Shame you had to pay such a high price.

  10. I've only managed to spot the green in bright sunlight, it looks so nice over reds and darker colours though :-)
