This was 3 very thin watery coats of OMG and I stamped Warm Black Konad using some new stamping plates I purchased from Shirley.
I'm not too sure about these plates just yet...I may have a review on them soon. The stamp I used didn't completely stamp the pattern, but this *may* have been me as the user rather than the product.....I'll be trialling it again tomorrow and if it does the same thing again with different patterns then I may have faulty plates. This pattern was a gorgeous flower with vine and leaves, but as you can see the flowers came out as blobs with a bit of wispy vine here and there....not very impressed.
1 coat of Seche QD to finish it off.
I would love to hear commenst from other followers who have used Shirley's plates. Did they work well? If not, what was the problem with them? Thanks!
=-/ charming nails had problems with her plates too =-/ http://charmingnails.blogspot.com/2011/03/raspberry-rush-shirleyn-laatat.html

ReplyDeleteOMG, I'm dying for this nail polish.
ReplyDeleteI just bought a plate from Shirley and haven't try it yet. I hope mine works well.
Sarahlouise. Thank you SO much for that link. I am not feeling very good about my other plates now...not happy.
ReplyDeleteCarolina, let me know how yours goes.
Thanks Lili and Jackie!
i heard shirley had problems wit hthe manufacturing of the plates and they were created by the wrong printer - she had to throw half of them away :( its such a shame as this pattern is beautiful, just a shame it didnt translate onto the nail :( im sure if you let shirley know she can do something about it for you. otherwise, OMG looks great, and the colour combo is timeless! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis will be lame, but may I say OMG? OMG! Need it!
ReplyDeleteOMG! This combination is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love this mani! It's too bad that it didn't stamp well, but I kind of like the blobby thing that you ended up with. It reminds me of an old faded couch. n_n
ReplyDeleteWOW I love the end product. I am so jealous I don't have that on my nails right now! :( & LOL@ the above 'faded couch' comment haha :) Also I think you can get away with it being a bit messy, sometimes those floral designs have little flecks here and there like leaves. I thought it looked pretty great !
ReplyDeleteI was lucky when I got OMG polish a few weeks ago at a trade fair beauty... Is really gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethis is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty manicure! I love this whole collection of holos. Wish the new collection was as nice as this.
ReplyDeletemuy bonito

I bought 8 plates from shirley the day they were finally for sale. THEY ALL DONT WORK. I cried. I spent 82.00CND for nothing. They don't clean off normally, half don't stamp the design not just the big ones with a larger void I mean the small vains and stuff, the vains feel like it doesnt have enough room for the polish or something. I stamp my nails every single day wtih Konad, Bundle Monster, HB, H and A series and I havent had any problems with these at all. I told shirley that mine didnt work and I was told no one else had any problems with them. I think that is crap. The plate desings are the best I have seen but the plates arent for stamping they just don't work, the first time I tried it took me almost 3 hours to do four fingers on one hand. That is not normal. Just because you can sometimes get a stamp to work doesnt mean there isnt a problem with the stamp and should not be sold at full price, I am hearing a few more people with the same issues. So I guess it wasn't just me after all. Thanks. BTW I always love reading your blog. Have a great day!!
