Matron?

One of our dear born and bred English friends called me Matron when he saw me in this dress.
I said "In your dreams".

I don't look like an old nurse.....do I??        *sniff*

It is a 2 piece dress and bolero set and I love how the blue is such a striking color against the black background.  I kept my hair in ringlets at the back.  I felt a little bit like Shirley Temple.

Dress: eBay
Shoes: London Rebel
Flower: Earrings: Local craft market

  1. Matronly? Totally not! The contrasts make the dress look rather youthful and I´ve never in my life seen a matron on such heels ;)

  3. it reminds me of I Love Lucy ... the style of the dress... but that doesn't mean its matronly! I guess this day in age if your not letting it hang all out you must be matronly!

  8. Matron, my ass. It isn't what you wear. It's how you wear it. You you don't wear that matron like.
