One of our dear born and bred English friends called me Matron when he saw me in this dress.
I said "In your dreams".
I don't look like an old nurse.....do I?? *sniff*
It is a 2 piece dress and bolero set and I love how the blue is such a striking color against the black background. I kept my hair in ringlets at the back. I felt a little bit like Shirley Temple.
Dress: eBay
Shoes: London Rebel
Flower: Earrings: Local craft market
Matronly? Totally not! The contrasts make the dress look rather youthful and I´ve never in my life seen a matron on such heels ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is true, just as well as I wore those shoes!
DeleteI agree. That is such an awesome dress! I applaud you. I could never wear something like that. :)
ReplyDeleteOf course you could!
Deleteit reminds me of I Love Lucy ... the style of the dress... but that doesn't mean its matronly! I guess this day in age if your not letting it hang all out you must be matronly!
ReplyDeleteYes, it IS Lucy style! I didnt realise that till I read your comment. That's not all bad I guess....
DeleteThat electric blue and black combo are magnificent! I think you look like a proper lady.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mistreess Cat! I love bright blue and black too.
DeleteYou look cute as a button, and are anything but matronly in this fantastic vintage frock.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a gorgeous weekend,
♥ Jessica
Thanks Jessica! I didn't feel matronly. You have a great weekend too. x
DeleteThat is a friggin' great dress. Matron? Is he METNAL? More like sexbomb goddess!
ReplyDeleteMwah Miss T! BTW, you going to the Love Vintage in Melb?
DeleteThat dress is awesome! I love how it looks with your earrings and shoes.
ReplyDeleteBtw I really like when you put your hair up like that. :)
Matron, my ass. It isn't what you wear. It's how you wear it. You you don't wear that matron like.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
