The Love Vintage Show was on in Melbourne over the weekend and of course, we all went along.
I caught up with Sarah and Helga again before they drove/flew home to Canberra and New Zealand.
And again, it degenerated into some of this....
.....and a bit of this. Bullet bras ahoy!
See you next year chookies!
What I wouldn't give to fit into that little red number on the mannequin!
I wanted the amber necklace but The Sexiest Man wouldn't shell out $2,950.00 for it.
Trying on hats and being photobombed by Miss 11.
A couple I snuck a photo of. You very rarely see someone dress in this period.
The morning Fashion Parade with outfits from the 30's thru to 60's.
The kids soon grew bored and looked like this.
And The Lindy Charm School were on hand for vintage hairstyles and makeovers. I stocked up on a fresh bottle of their 'Rocket Fuel' which is the BEST on the market for holding curls.
Thank you to those who came up and said hello, introduced themselves and said they liked reading my blog. If you saw me there but didn't say hello....make sure you do next time!
Looks like an absolutely wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteA Vintage Show is pretty hard to beat!
DeleteOH my god I love you with red hair!!!! It looks so good, very different but suits you beautifully :D I went to the Brisbane show and the first thing that struck me were the prices, that said it was still fun to oggle all of the pretty things.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, Show prices in Australia are always high. Maybe we should both jet over to LA?
DeleteOh wow looks like a most wonderful time was had. Mind you how could you not with Sarah and Helga.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry I missed it, and missed seeing you again too! Next time :)
ReplyDeleteYes, make sure you let me know and we can arrange to meet for a coffee!
DeleteI looooove the red hair!
ReplyDeleteI went on the Friday night and ended up with two coats and a hat....and now I will be broke forever! But totally worth it.
Looks like you gals had a blast!
Lucky you! I found absolutey nothing to spend my money on. Husband was astounded.
Deletehahaha, y'all crack me up! I would fit in so well in the bullet bra pics, my friends & I do the same thing, lol.
ReplyDeleteDo girls ever NOT grab their boobs?
DeleteNothing like a little groping between friends. Just showing love and respect. :) I wish we had events like that out here. Our "antique fair" consists of old ladies selling broken jewelry and a lot of 'authentic" Indian wares.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, they sound like swap meets not vintage fairs!
DeleteNo word of a lie, I actually felt my knees go a touch weak as I scrolled through the photos of this incredible event. Oh, what I wouldn't give for something even a fraction that size here in Canada! It looks and sounds like you had an awesome time, dear gal - yay!!!

I wish I had uploaded more photos of tje Show now. I think not everyone is interested in the vintage aspect of this blog so I hold back a little. Next time I'll upload all the pics!
DeleteI am completely in awe of your glamorous life! Everyone was dressed so fabulously it made my jaw drop. I desperately want to go to a vintage fair now. :)
ReplyDeleteMy life is completely not glamourous! Only maybe twice a year it is....... There should be lots of vintage shows around you in the USA? You should totally go to one and perve on all the gorgeous ladies!
DeleteWasn't it just the BEST event?! Next time I want to go to every day of it!
