Read All About It

There's quite a bit of vintage going on this week...as I have all my polish posts saved for next week due to an awesome thing beginning.......secrets!!

You all know I love absolutely anything novelty, and this skirt is a fav. I have featured it before, but it looks a little nicer this time around. It has various 1950's magazines names printed all over: Life, Vogue, Time and Esquire.

And yes, I am wearing a bullet bra!

50's skirt: eBay
Top and belt: Retail
Shoes: Irregular Choice
Cherry Necklace: Me
Deadstock 50s bra: Vintage Fair

  4. Gorgeous outfit (and shoes. I want those shoes...). And that bra does wonders for you! I wish there was something to give me that much bosom ;)
Your wardrobe is so inspiring. It was partially your influence that lead me to get my first Bakelite a few weeks ago (and then I went home promptly discovered that I already had two pieces in my collection. Oop!)

    1. Yay, I'm so glad you are inspired to go vintage! As for bakelite, you can NEVER have too much......! You can always test for bakelite using simichrome cream which is readily available on ebay for $8.

  7. Love the novelty print! They look so fab on you! I dont think it's something I can pull off myself - If it's not floral, I look like a some weird child - just dont have the boobs huh ;-)

LOVE the shoes too - How do you find the IC brand? I have a pair with the same heel, crazy glittery green shoes...Not too bad to wear but not for long periods. Their sizing can be tricky! And they're hard to wear in.

    1. Hey Esz! You could pull anything off...you have bright red hair for goodness sake!! Irregular Choice are my second fav after L Fire. They are usually lined with velvet so are super comfy to wear.... but not all day. I have had luck so far buying 37, tried a 38 once and it was too big...still wear them tho as they are a mary jane style.

  8. you look great! I could never get away wearing this look. First it's not my comfort zone. I am far too casual to ever wear much over a 2" heal - the kind you find that really are not 2" by the time you see the front under the toe has 1" right there. Clarks sandals & clogs are me. Winter is fleece, jeans and layers. Summer is shorts and T's with non thong sandals.
I am so amazed you can get vintage bras! I recall what those looked like in the 50's! I did not wear them but saw mom and grandma in them. And here I am (after my double masts) in Ahh Bras. Love the shoes!!!
