Lucite shoes, lucite shoes, how I do love thee. BUT THEY BROKE. Yes chookies, all vintage shoes will break....usually when you are swanning around in public somewhere and miles from home.
The husband did Aroldite the heel back on again....but now I have lucite shoe fear! They might break again and I will be left lucite shoeless!
I love my Cinderella slippers.

ReplyDeleteYou look great! Sorry to hear your shoes broke. That's one of the reasons I don't buy plastic shoes. That, and I can't find them in my size.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are notoriously tiny. These are circa 60's and made a little wider in the width.
DeleteOh honey, I'm so sorry that your heel broke. I can just imagine what a stomach churning moment that must have been for you. Thank goodness your DH was able to glue it back together, but still, that fear as you said will linger. Fingers crossed you never have another broken heel again.
ReplyDeleteLove this gorgeous, elegant floral dress - I'm feeling more and more pulled towards shades of yellow (which is not an easy colour, by and large, for me to wear) as we head into the warmer months here in Canada.

Yellow is a new color for me too and I have found that I love it. In the last few months I have found 2 lovely yellow dresses! x
Delete:( anything vintage that doesn't last breaks my heart. :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shoes! Even if they're a little broken.. ;)
