I need your opinions. I like this dress. The Sexiest Man doesn't. He says it looks too modern. I told him it's classic 1950's with a sailor twist.
Altho, I do think it doesn't suit me all that much......my arms are not made for non sleeveless items.
What say you guys? Do I keep or sell?
Dress: 1950's vintage from Etsy
Shoes: Miss L Fire
Hair Flower: Dynamite-Darlin, eBay
Part of me likes it, it has such a cute print. But the neckline/ sleeves throw me off. I'm not even sure a stick thin woman with tree twigs for arms could pull that off...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Melissa. The collar hanging down on your arms looks just odd and unflattering. I hate putting negative comments on a blog, but you asked! :-)
ReplyDeleteLike Melissa, i like very much the print but the neckline/sleeves i really dont like, can you change it instead of selling it? it is a really beautifull dress (without that neckline/sleeves):)
ReplyDeleteI'm not really crazy about this dress. It looks like it would be good for someone whose really tall.
ReplyDeleteIf YOU love it, and it makes you smile, keep it.
ReplyDeleteHave to jump on the neckline brigade. For some reason it just doesn't work. Gorgeous print though.
ReplyDeletei loove it!!! soo pretty!!!! you looks stunning!!! & your little girl looks soo adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteWell I absolutely love it! The colour and the pattern are different from what you usually post on the blog, but they're great ^___^
ReplyDeleteIt's really nice! If you like it, keep it! I don't think anyone else should decide what you should wear ;)
ReplyDeleteDitch the dress, but find your little miss a modeling agent! Look at her! She's working it! :-) so adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe frock is FABULOUS and you look divine in it!
ReplyDeleteBut as our darling Vix says 'If it doesn't make you feel fabulous, get rid of it!' and I agree - life's too short to feel anything less than wonderful in a frock. So you should send it to me.
Joking! (Not really!) Sarah xxx
PS Also those shoes and the hair orchids = BEAUTIFUL.
hmmmm. I like this dress on you actually! i think the pattern is quite flattering. not to sure about the collar though, maybe wearing a tight plain black cardigan unbuttoned would look nice? i think those sort of collars dont look to great with no sleeves on anyone. I love your hair!
ReplyDeleteGrace xx
Cute dress, but I personally like you in bloder colours.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I just love the fierce look of Little Miss in the first photo!!
That first photo is SO cute!! :) Personally I think its an adorable dress & think you look super cute in it. Keep it!!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress
ReplyDeleteYou look great - I like the dress a lot. As others say, if you love it, then wear it!
ReplyDeleteIt's so super cute! I'm sooooooo torn. I love the print, the colors, the cute tie at the neckline...but the adorable split sailor collar isn't flattering to be totally honest. If it wasn't split over the shoulders I might feel differently. Or...maybe it's the hem line...maybe take it up about 3 inches or so (or whatever approximately 2 inches below the knee is)? Maybe that would do the trick. It's so cute. There has to be a small tweak that makes it just right.
ReplyDeleteARGH! I still don't know what to do....it's about half and half!
ReplyDeleteI feel nice in it but I know it isn't 100% flattering.....maybe I'll do something with the split collars!
I think the dress looks great! Especially with the flower in your hair/accessories! It does seem a little on the pale/pastel side for your skin tone. But nonetheless very pretty! =)
ReplyDeleteEasy,
ReplyDeletesell the dress, keep the child! (she's adorable)
